Obama Supporters: Do As I Vote... Not As I Do

Bryan Griffin

It’s scary. I feel as though Barack Obama could commit cold blooded murder and the left and the media would let him get away with it. What’s more, voters would make an excuse in their mind for him – and continue to cast their ballot for him on November 4th. The recent connections to former Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers seems to have had no effect on people whatsoever. Does it matter Barack knew and associated with this man? Does it matter he bought a house within a couple blocks of Ayers to keep close contact in 2005? Does it matter that Ayers is a member of the splinter S.D.S. (students for a democratic society) group that bombed ROTC centers in the sixties as a type of violent outcry against military recruitment centers?

What will matter? Will it matter when he’s president? Will it matter after another terrorist attack on our soil that Obama is willing to negotiate (legitimize) with fundamentalist regime leaders? Will it matter after the deaths of more innocent and oppressed people in the Middle East because America is not there to topple the regimes committing the genocides?

I really don’t understand the mindset of the American liberal. They vie and rally for equal rights among the sexes, and then they bash Governor Palin for being a mom and trying to run for Vice President. They vie and rally for "change" and "hope" like it’s a drug, and then they support a ticket with Joe Biden on it – one of the longest and most ingrained members of the "corrupt Washington" they fight against. They vie and rally to end genocide, but don’t want to end it if a conservative leader gets the credit. They couldn’t care less about the genocide in Iraq - which our country is actively trying to stop – while bashing our administration for not being in Tibet to do the same. Have they looked at the situation in Tibet? Do they know that to "free Tibet" would mean reinstating a religious theocracy that has committed genocide and mass murder under the Ayatollah? I see the liberal left crying, desperately, for "equality" but never without trying to oppress Christianity and white Americans. Is reverse discrimination and affirmative action the total equality they strive for? That seems like a selective equality to me – that seems like a form of racism.

I also don’t understand the inability of the left to learn from history. In the numerous attempts that socialism and communism have had as a form of government, every single one has failed. And not just failed, but failed while killing thousands due to power hungry murderous psychopaths, given the ability to kill by the very system itself. And yet – they still defend Marx in Political Science classes (we’ve all heard it, the one kid who can’t stand a conversation without Marx’s name in it). They still make movies about the great system of government and medicine in Cuba and Canada, countries that I am pretty sure do not have the levels of illegal immigration we have – especially for being so "desirable". They still "spotlight socialism" without stopping to think how many people have died as a result of previous countries’ attempts to "spotlight socialism".

The left loves to ride a high horse – especially the figurehead liberals in Washington. Figurehead liberal members of congress will sit all day from their single-digit approval ratings and call the administration a failure at approval ratings in the 20s and 30s. They love to ride their high horse and blame the economic problems on the policies of the Bush administration when Congress actually controls the production of financial policy, and while they rattled their regulation sabers at private businesses in 2006, requiring them to make faulty loans and conduct bad business in fear of being forced to do the same. And when the problems arise – it’s never their fault. It’s never Pelosi’s fault, or Congressman Barney Frank’s. How can it be, when they’ve been spending all their time in Congress renaming post-offices and making resolutions against our Middle Eastern allies like Pakistan?

I hear it every time I begin to point out problems with the far left. "You should write about the good aspects of your party, not bash the other side". Well the left gets to bash, and point fingers until they are blue (no pun intended) in the face. Their tactless leader Pelosi does it every time she approaches the mic in the House. It’s time the right made a bigger deal about this.

The future of our country is at stake. We must protect it, for our posterity; and that means protecting the borders, the homeland, the financial structure, the overseas investments, and especially protecting the mentality. If we let our kids become ingrained with defeatist liberalism at college and then go out into the world without a balance of reason, of religion, and of pride in our country, then what societal monster will we create? What monster has been created now? A monster that will move like a mindless zombie to vote for Obama on November 4th, despite any negative or horrifying fact that may come out about him.

The left craves change but Obama couldn’t make change for a $5 bill. The only change we will see unless we stand up for our side of the arena is the zombification of the American people towards the "progressive left". A "progressive left" that moves to revert us back to a failed socialism, revert us to a discrimination against whites and Christians, and reverts us to a time when pride in our country was a sin. We must be strong, and we must fight the defeatism. I say, let’s end discrimination, not reverse it! I say, let’s end genocide entirely, not selectively! Let’s elect a war hero! Let’s support our country at home and abroad! This is America, and I am proud of it.
